Evan Frank

Evan Frank of Harpers Ferry, West Virginia has amazed a lot of people in his few years on earth. This 8 year old has raised more than $9000 in a little more than a year to help provide water wells and clean water for villagers in South Africa. In fact, he has now helped raise money to complete three water wells! His interest was piqued one day in his Sunday school class where he and his friends saw a video of children drinking water from muddy watering holes. Driven by a desire to help thirsty children get the clean water they need, Evan began fundraising efforts: selling homemade brownies (one person gave him $100 for one after hearing about his goal), collecting donations door to door and setting up a dinner complete with entertainment for 119 people. Evan is an inspiration to many people.” Like Evan said, “God didn’t call just me to help; He has called all of us.”

His winning smile and enthusiasm are contagious. “Evan is a young man who has learned we can do our part and have God’s heart,” James said. Evan’s father added, “He is an inspiration to me. Evan gets it.”
